Surfing my soul
I’ve always been somewhat curious with not only the imagery that a poem can produce, but how there are many writing styles out there. By limiting yourself to a structure, and even in free form it really allows the writer to express themselves in a creative way. It paints a picture, of which the reader’s imagination details out based on what they read from the words.
I have a preference to more traditional structured poems, but since I am an amateur I will find myself experimenting here and there under contemporary and Japanese Haiku and Renga. Also, who doesn’t like a good haiku?
Discussion is where I look at poems from other individuals and write what I took away from them. It wont be anything revolutionary, and may change over time, but it is a nice way to share stuff that I liked and what my takeaway was from it.
